Nissan Murano named U.S. News & World Report’s “2016 Best 2-Row SUV for Families” | Luther Nissan

The 2016 Nissan Murano has just received its second major award from U.S. News & World Report. It has been crowned as “Best 2-Row SUV for Families.” Back in February, the Murano snagged one of the magazine’s “Best Cars for the Money” slots.

The Best Cars for Families awards combine professional automotive reviews, safety and reliability ratings, seating and cargo volume and availability of family-friendly features to determine winners within each of the 21 automotive categories.

The editors said of the Murano: “Though the 2016 Nissan Murano's price qualifies it as an affordable midsize SUV, reviewers say its cabin offers a near-luxury level of refinement. With the best combination of positive reviews and long-term ownership costs in its class, the Nissan Murano is our 2016 Best 2-Row SUV for the Money. The Murano, however, isn’t just a great value. It’s also our Best 2-Row SUV for Families because it has the leading combination of interior space, available family-friendly features, and safety and reliability ratings in its class.”

Consumers really love the Murano, too, according to a 65 percent sales increase from the same time last year.

Some great family-friendly available features on the Murano include NissanConnect with Navigation, Push Button Ignition, iPod interface, 11-speaker Bose premium audio system and Bluetooth Hands-free Phone System.

Safety is a big part of the Murano as well. With available technologies including Blind Spot Warning, Predictive Forward Collision Warning, Forward Emergency Braking and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, you have more than just eyes in the back of your head – you have them all around, all the time.
